The
following GEDCOMS are result of over twenty years of
research into the approximately one hundred families that
lived in the Earltown district of Colchester County
between 1813 and 1960.
Some of the individual families may have been related
either through a now unknown link or a relationship based
in 18th century Scotland. The
information was derived personal interviews, census
records, cemetery inscriptions, church records, newspaper
clippings and various unpublished manuscripts. Some of
the material is derived from family traditions which are
often are correct but sometimes lead the genealogist
astray. Consequently the following information should be
used as a guide only and should be checked to primary
documentation where possible to prove its accuracy.
Additions
and corrections are always welcome. Please contact me by
clicking on the e-mail button above. I will try to reply
to inquiries but be patient, I still have a day job!!.
I
am indebted to the late Gladys MacDonald of Earltown and
Margie Wilson of Waugh River for providing the seeds of
this project many years ago. Credit is also due to Jane
Wile and Tim Currie for helping to make this technically
possible.
